About the event

We welcome you to our next biannual Meeting in the city of Murcia (Spain). Murcia city is in the South-eastern of Spain, at 30 min by car from the Mediterranean sea. Murcia city is the capital of the Murcia Region, and the seventh largest city in the country, with a population of 442.573 inhabitants. The city is famous by the “Huerta de Murcia” or Europe’s orchard due to its long agricultural tradition and as a fruits, vegetables and flowers producer and exporter.

 The main EN meeting will take place the days 1st and 2nd December at the Hotel NH Amistad Amistad, a 4* hotel placed in the city center. An intense social programme will be offered with a Welcome Dinner on 30th Nov in the Restaurant “Mi barra” very close to the hotel. On Tuesday 1st December, a visit to the “Royal Casino of Murcia” with dinner inside this beautiful place. On Wednesday 2nd December, we will have a dinner in a traditional Murcia Restaurant at the San Juan square.

 On Thursday 3rd December, it is organized the Workshop “From Epigenomics to Metabolomics: integrating ‘big’ data into cohort studies”. The workshop will be held in the Hemicycle Room at the “Campus la Merced” of Murcia University, at 10 min walking from the Hotel NH Amistad. The main objective of this workshop is to bring together leading experts from these interdisciplinary fields, and to explore how to manage these data from their analyses until interpretation and integration into the big cohorts. It will be explored data management not only from epigenetics but also from metabolomics, in an integrative interdisciplinary approach. If you are interested in applying these expensive methodologies in your work, this workshop will provide you of interesting tools.
